Renewal

New Mexico professional engineer and surveyor licenses run on a two-year cycle keyed to the license number: licenses with odd-numbered license numbers must be renewed by December 31 of each odd-numbered year, and even-numbered licenses by December 31 of each even-numbered year, after which the license automatically expires. The biennial renewal fee is $220 for a single professional engineer or professional surveyor license ($440 for a dual PE/PS license); a delinquent licensee may still renew, before the following March 1, by paying twice the biennial renewal fee. Reciprocity

New Mexico grants professional engineer licensure by endorsement to an applicant who holds a current license in another state, the District of Columbia, a U.S. territory or possession, or a foreign country, if the professional engineering committee determines the applicant's education, experience, and examination qualifications are not lower than New Mexico's own standards under Sections 61-23-14 and 61-23-14.1 NMSA 1978. The comity/endorsement application fee is $325 for an applicant with an NCEES record and $375 for an applicant without one. Source
