- New Mexico professional engineer and surveyor licenses run on a two-year cycle keyed to the license number: licenses with odd-numbered license numbers must be renewed by December 31 of each odd-numbered year, and even-numbered licenses by December 31 of each even-numbered year, after which the license automatically expires. The biennial renewal fee is $220 for a single professional engineer or professional surveyor license ($440 for a dual PE/PS license); a delinquent licensee may still renew, before the following March 1, by paying twice the biennial renewal fee. - New Mexico grants professional engineer licensure by endorsement to an applicant who holds a current license in another state, the District of Columbia, a U.S. territory or possession, or a foreign country, if the professional engineering committee determines the applicant's education, experience, and examination qualifications are not lower than New Mexico's own standards under Sections 61-23-14 and 61-23-14.1 NMSA 1978. The comity/endorsement application fee is $325 for an applicant with an NCEES record and $375 for an applicant without one. Source
