Illinois licensing rules

Reciprocity
Illinois grants licensure by endorsement to a person holding an unexpired professional engineer license or certificate from another U.S. state, territory, the District of Columbia, or a foreign country, upon proof that the applicant's original or subsequent licensure qualifications were substantially equivalent to Illinois requirements in force at that time. Applicants submit certification of licensure history and current standing from the licensing jurisdiction, or may submit a current NCEES Record in place of standard documentation, along with the fee set in Section 1380.275.
