Arizona licensing rules
- Renewal
- Arizona's Board of Technical Registration must establish a system for renewing certification or registration; a certificate or registration becomes invalid after its expiration date unless renewed by payment of the required renewal fee, and a renewal fee paid after expiration must be accompanied by a penalty fee equal to one-sixth of the renewal fee for each year or fraction of a year of delinquency. The board cancels a certificate or registration that has remained invalid for at least one full renewal period. Source
- Reciprocity
- An applicant for professional registration as an engineer, architect, land surveyor or landscape architect through reciprocity or endorsement must hold a valid license, registration or certification issued by the proper authority of another state, territory, district or possession, or of a country participating in the applicable profession's national council mutual recognition agreement, and must also hold a certification or model law designation from that profession's national council. Land surveyor applicants must additionally pass the part of the professional examination covering surveying methods and legal principles specific to Arizona. Source
